As a result of a letter received in the summer of 2015, from Steve DeRepentigny, a young Machining Apprentice at Advanced Machining Services (AMS) of Windsor, the Canadian Tooling and Machining Association (CTMA) Board of Directors were so moved, that they elected to create a new recognition award called the “Trades Ambassador of the Year” award.

The CTMA board of Directors unanimously selected Igor Babamov, a lead CNC Programmer/Machinist at AMS as their inaugural recipient of this award.
